Seymour Daily Tribune May 30, 2002 Harry Kenneth Shepard Harry Kenneth Shepard, 93, of Indianapolis and formerly of Medora and Logansport, died at 4 a.m. Wednesday, May 29, 2002. Mr. Shepard worked at the Medora Brick Plant until 1942, then worked 32 years as a fireman and engineer on the Pennsylvania Railroad until retiring in 1974. Born July 2, 1908, in Medora, he was the son of George Arthur Shepard and Phoebe Serrilda Weddle Shepard. In 1930 in Vernon, he married Lela Leigh Bliton, who preceded him in death. He is survived by three children, L. Deane Shepard and Thomas L. Shepard, both of Bonita Springs, Fla., and FreDona Zollman, Medora; two brothers, Harold Shepard and Robert Shepard; nine grandchildren; 11 great-grandchildren; and a great-great-grandchild. He also was preceded by a son, Kenneth F. Shepard; and a brother, Lenord Shepard. Funeral services will be held at noon Saturday at Shirley Brothers Washington Memorial Chapel, Indianapolis. Burial will be at the Washington Park East Cemetery, Indianapolis. Friends may call from 4 p.m. to 8 p.m. Friday at the funeral home. Memorials may be made to the donor’s choice.
