Lemiel Short

Lemiel Short, 72, North Vernon, died at 8:55 a.m. Saturday, Sept. 2, 2006.
Born Oct. 16, 1933, at Harlan, Ky., he was a son of Andrew and Mary Kelly Short, who preceded him in death. On Oct. 18, 1952, in West Virginia, he married Shirley Dixon. She survives. Other survivors include three sons, Glen Short, North Vernon; Ben Short and Gary Goins, both of Indianapolis; two daughters, Betty Cottongim, Indianapolis, and Tammy Mikesell, North Vernon.
The Rev. Tony Carson will conduct funeral services at 11 a.m. Wednesday at Dove-Sharp & Rudicel Funeral Home, North Vernon, with burial at Butlerville Cemetery. Friends may call from 4 p.m. to 8 p.m. Tuesday at the funeral home.
