Seymour Daily Tribune January 4, 2002 Elda C.E. Siefker June 28, 1913-Jan. 2, 2002 Elda C.E. Siefker, 88, Seymour, died Wednesday, Jan. 2, 2002, at Lutheran Community Home, Seymour. She was a homemaker and a member of Immanuel Lutheran Church, Pine Ridge Extension Homemakers and Ladies Aid 3. Born June 28, 1913, she was a daughter of Albert Benter and Mary Heman Benter. On May 1, 1938, at Sauers, she married Henry L. Siefker, who died Feb. 3, 1980. Survivors include two sons, R. David Siefker (wife Dorothy), Detroit, and Michael Siefker (wife Deborah), Seymour; two daughters, Phyllis Meredith (husband William), Clarkston, Mich., and Judy Pallatin (husband John) Indianapolis; 10 grandchildren; and two great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by two brothers, Delbert and Irving Benter; two sisters, Lillian Darlage and Ruby Beickman; and an infant son, Thomas Mark Siefker. The Rev. Ralph Blomenberg, the Rev. Philip Bloch and Vicar Jimmy Rodriguez will conduct funeral services at 1 p.m. Saturday at Immanuel Lutheran Church, Seymour. Burial will be in Immanuel Lutheran Cemetery. Friends may call from 4 p.m. to 8 p.m. today at Myers Funeral Service, Burkholder Chapel, Seymour, and from noon until time of service Saturday at the church. Memorials may be given to Lutheran Community Home, Immanuel Lutheran Church or St. John’s Lutheran Church, Sauers.
