Seymour Tribune Doris Lucille (Woodmansee) Sierp 1915 - 2009 Doris Lucille Sierp, 93, Brownstown, passed away at 8:37 a.m. Monday, March 2, 2009, at Schneck Medical Center, Seymour. Mrs. Sierp was a member of St. Peter's Lutheran Church, Brownstown. She retired from Kieffer Paper Mill in 1978 and graduated from Brownstown High School in 1934. She loved bingo, quilting, gardening and flowers. Born Dec. 9, 1915, in Brownstown, she was the daughter of Scott W. Woodmansee and Minnie Schwein Woodmansee. In September 1960, at St. Peter's Lutheran Church, she married Herbert Sierp, who preceded her in death Jan. 3, 2000. Survivors include two sons, Jim (Deb) Pierce, Carmel, and Richard (Barb) Burrell, Brownstown; a daughter, Elaine (Dean) Shelton, Seymour; two stepdaughters, Betty (Harlann) Peters, Brownstown, and Joyce Sierp, Florida; nine grandchildren, Kevin (Johnnie) Shelton and Linda (Mike) Robson, both of Seymour, Michelle (Mark) Sike, Robinson Township, Penn., Megan (Adam) Rodriguez, Indianapolis, Kelli (Jeff) Williams, Tony (Melanie) Peters, Tammie (Kevin) Benter and Jade (Mandy) Peters, all of Brownstown, and Adam Peters, Lincoln, Neb.; 22 great-grandchildren; and 15 great-great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by a brother, Carl Woodmansee, and two sisters, Catherine Rucker and Grace Isaacs. Pastor Jack Belk will conduct funeral services at 1:30 p.m. Thursday at St. Peter's Lutheran Church, Brownstown. Burial will take place at St. Peter's Lutheran Cemetery, Brownstown. Friends may call from 4 p.m. to 8 p.m. Wednesday at Zabel Funeral Home, Brownstown, and from 12:30 p.m. until time of service Thursday at the church.
