Katherine Stamper
Katherine Stamper, 54, Austin, died Monday, March 25, 2002, at her home.
Mrs. Stamper was a homemaker and a member of New Beginning Church, Austin.
Born Sept. 27, 1947, in Hazard, Ky., she was a daughter of Zackie White and Oma Combs White. On Sept. 3, 1966, she married Roger Stamper, who survives in Austin.
Other survivors include a son, Roger Wayne Stamper, Austin; a grandchild; four brothers, Enick White and Coy White, both of Austin, Henry White, Scottsburg, and Ossie White, Deputy; and three sisters, Thelma Grigsby, Hico, W.Va., and Halie Gambill and Lizzie Smith, both of Austin.
The Rev. Garland Stamper will conduct services at 11 a.m. Thursday at Buchanan Funeral Home, Austin. Burial will be in New Providence Cemetery, Austin.
Friends may call from 4 p.m. to 8 p.m. today and after 9 a.m. Thursday at the funeral home.
