Margaret McCleery Swartz
Margaret McCleery Swartz, 86, Scottsburg, died Monday, April 8, 2002, at Scott Memorial Hospital, Scottsburg.
Mrs. Swartz was a homemaker and attended Little York Christian Church. She lived her entire life in the Little York area.
Born Feb. 1, 1916, near Little York, she was a daughter of Thomas McCleery and Eliza Haley and they both preceded her in death. She married Charles E. Swartz and he died Nov. 17, 2000.
She is survived by three daughters, Judy A. Burkhead, DeKalb, Texas, Carolyn L. LaMaster, Scottsburg, and Joetta Helser, Churubusco; a son and daughter-in-law, Lowell and Donna Swartz, Little York; a sister, Ruth Keever, Indianapolis; 13 grandchildren and 16 great-grandchildren.
Greg Shuler will conduct funeral services at 11 a.m. Wednesday at Collins Funeral Home, Scottsburg. Burial will be at Little York Cemetery, Scottsburg.
Friends may call from 4 p.m. to 8 p.m. today and from 9 a.m. until time of services Wednesday at the funeral home.
