Seymour Daily Tribune February 24, 2007 Jeannette Sweazy Oct. 14, 1916 - Feb. 22, 2007 Jeannette I. Sweazy, 90, of North Vernon and formerly of Crothersville, died at 5:55 p.m. Thursday, Feb. 22, 2007, at Jennings Health Care Center, North Vernon. Mrs. Sweazy was employed by the former U.S. Shoe Corp. in Crothersville and was a homemaker. She was a member of Crothersville United Methodist Church and the former Order of Eastern Star Lodge in Crothersville. She also was a past mother advisor of Rainbow Girls in Crothersville. Born Oct. 14, 1916, in Crothersville, she was the daughter of Rosco and Eunice Densford Kennedy, both of whom preceded her in death. On Nov. 11, 1936, she married Dwight Jesse Sweazy, who died Dec. 14, 1990. Survivors include a son, Ricci Dwight (Alisa) Sweazy, Crothersville; four daughters, Janice (Ronald) Mull, North Vernon, Beverly (Danny) Kinney, North Vernon, Penny (Paul) Gay, Crothersville, and Tracie (Rex) Johnson, Mobile, Ala.; 11 grandchildren; 22 great-grandchildren; and one great-great-grandchild. She was preceded in death by three brothers, a sister and a grandson. The Rev. Jon Pearce will conduct funeral services at 11 a.m., Monday at Adams Funeral Home, Crothersville. Burial will be at Crothersville Cemetery. Friends may call from 4 p.m. to 8 p.m. Sunday and after 9 a.m. Monday at the funeral home. Memorials may be made to the Crothersville Cemetery or the Crothersville Fire Department.
