Bruce Edward Taylor Sr.
Bruce Edward Taylor Sr., 74, Austin, died at 12:25 p.m. Wednesday, April 10, 2002, at King’s Daughters Hospital, Madison.
Mr. Taylor was a retired heavy equipment operator. He was a member of Union Local 181 and Jennings Township Conservation Club, Austin.
Born March 22, 1928, in Madison, he was a son of Elmer Otis Taylor and Margurite Townsend Taylor, who both preceded him in death. On Dec. 31, 1955, in Clark County, he married Bonnie Louise Peacock Taylor and she survives in Austin.
He is also survived by three sons, Bruce Edward Taylor Jr., Charlestown, and Edward Lee Taylor and Herman Otis Taylor, both of Austin; three daughters, Jacqueline Doyle, North Vernon, Vivian Rose Wray, Borden, and Rebecca Louise McIntosh, Austin; three brothers, Paul Taylor, Henryville, Virgil Taylor, Sellersburg, and Robert Taylor, New Albany; two sisters, Laura Barker, Sellersburg, and Carol Jones, Otisco; 16 grandchildren and eight great-grandchildren.
The Rev. Steve Gwaltney will conduct funeral services at 1 p.m. Saturday at Buchanan Funeral Home, Austin. Burial will be at Wesley Chapel Cemetery, Austin.
Friends may call from 4 p.m. to 8 p.m. today and from 9 a.m. until time of services Saturday at the funeral home.
