Seymour Tribune Harvey Ward Taylor Harvey Ward Taylor, 94, Seymour, passed away at 7:36 a.m. Tuesday, Dec. 2, 2008, at Lutheran Community Home, Seymour. Mr. Taylor was the owner and operator of Taylor's Garage and Taylor's Wrecker Service, both in Seymour, until his retirement in 1973. He attended Apostolic Pentecostal Tabernacle in Seymour, and resided in Seymour for over 70 years. Born Nov. 7, 1914, in Underwood, he was the son of Virgil Newton Taylor and Cora Mae Hall Taylor, both of whom preceded him in death. On May 20, 1936, in Jeffersonville, he married Bernice Blizard, who preceded him in death on Sept. 30, 2002. Survivors include his daughters, Nancy Carol (Joseph) Clarke, and Patricia Jo (Eddie) Jones;?brother, Leland Taylor; grandchildren, Douglas J. Clarke, Gina C. Plummer, Sue Ann Werling, Cindy Jo Richards, and Gregory E. Jones; 11 great-grandchildren; two step great-grandchildren, and one great-great-grandchild. He was preceded in death by brothers, Lester Taylor and Lytle Taylor; sisters, Viola Ehringer, Velva Griffin, Juanita Roark and Helen Kallenback. The Rev. Larry Arrowood will conduct funeral services at 2 p.m. Thursday at Voss Chapel, Seymour. Burial will take place at Riverview Cemetery, Seymour. Friends may call from noon until time of service Thursday at the funeral home.
