Seymour Daily Tribune January 14, 2002 Gladys L. Terrell Gladys L. Terrell, 82, Scottsburg, died Saturday, Jan. 12, 2002, at Scott Memorial Hospital, Scottsburg. Mrs. Terrell was a U.S. Army veteran of World War II. She was the former owner of the old Friendly Beauty Shop in Scottsburg and was a former cutter at the old U.S. Shoe Corp. in Crothersville. She was of the Baptist faith. Born Oct. 15, 1919, in Berlin, W.Va., she was a daughter of Hoyt Douglas and Julia Kitchen. She married Charles Terrell, who preceded her in death. Survivors include a brother-in-law and caregiver, Gene Terrell, Scottsburg; a sister-in-law and caregiver Mary Dryden, Morton, Ill.; and several nieces and nephews. A sister, Mildred Perry, preceded her in death. The Rev. Douglas Wallace was to conduct graveside services at 1 p.m. today at Scottsburg Cemetery. Collins Funeral Home, Scottsburg, was in charge of arrangements.
