Seymour Daily Tribune January 30, 2007 Ruth Colleen Gray Terrell Jan. 13, 1929 - Jan. 28, 2007 Ruth Colleen Gray Terrell, 78, Seymour, died peacefully at her home surrounded by her loving family Sunday, Jan. 28, 2007, after an extended battle with breast cancer. She was born Jan. 13, 1929, in Jackson County to Robert Willis and Bessie Irene Weddle Robinson, who preceded her in death. She attended school in Oolitic and Clearspring and was united in marriage by the Rev. Leo Jordan to the Rev. E.R. Gray in Medora, May 20, 1945. She assisted her husband in pastoring the Norman Pentecostal Church until his death May 14, 1969. Colleen then returned to school and graduated from Bartholomew County School of Practical Nursing in Columbus, as a licensed practical nurse June 15, 1971, and then married Robert D. Terrell on March 31, 1972. She worked for Schneck Memorial Hospital in Seymour for 22 years, retiring in 1993. She enjoyed traveling with her husband and spent the month of January in Madiera Beach, Fla., for 22 years. She was a member of Apostolic Pentecostal Tabernacle in Seymour and Life Apostolic Ministries in Westport. Funeral services will be held at 11 a.m. Thursday at Apostolic Pentecostal Tabernacle, 301 Indianapolis Ave., Seymour, with visitation from 4 p.m. until 8 p.m. Wednesday at the church. Surviving is her husband, Robert D. Terrell; a son, Gary K. Gray, wife Diana of Indianapolis; two daughters, Rita K. Steltenpohl, husband Bob of Indianapolis, Kendra L. Sharp, husband the Rev. Gerald of Seymour; a brother, Dale R. Robinson, wife Judy of Medora; five grandchildren, Kara S. England, husband Joe, Errin K. Gray, Marita J. Steltenpohl, Kristen L. Sharp and Gentry K. Sharp; a great-grandson, Jaden A.K. England; a loving niece and special caregiver, Donna J. Lane; two stepsons, Ron W. Terrell, wife Karen of Brownstown, and Larry D. Terrell, wife Sheila of North Vernon; four stepgrandchildren, Eric V. Terrell, wife Jennie, Brian L. Terrell, wife Patti, Danielle R. Brown, husband Jessie, and Jamie Medaris, husband Waylon; and eight stepgreat-grandchildren. Two brothers, Robert E. and Ervan W. Robinson, and a sister, Wanda L. Arthur, preceded her in death. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to Life Apostolic Ministries of Westport in care of Apostolic Pentecostal Tabernacle, 301 Indianapolis Ave., Seymour, IN 47274. Final care and arrangements have been entrusted to Shirley Brothers Thompson Road Chapel, Indianapolis.
