Seymour Tribune - June 5, 2007 Ruth J. Williams Young Terry May 20, 1935 – June 3, 2007 Ruth J. Williams Young Terry, 72, Cortland, passed away at 7 a.m. Sunday, June 3, 2007, at her residence. Mrs. Terry was a member of Cortland Christian Church. She was very active in her church, serving on the vacation Bible school staff. She was a housewife and also worked at Community Care Center as a nurse’s aide, and at Seymour Electronics for six years. She enjoyed gardening, but most of all, she loved being with her family, her grandchildren and her friends. Born May 20, 1935, in Jackson County, she was a daughter of John R. and Myrtle Dorothy Keith Williams, both of whom preceded her in death. On Feb. 26, 1954, she married Ray L. Wilson, who passed away in 1980. On Sept. 9, 1990, she married Clarence Milford Young, who preceded her in death in 2001. On April 5, 2003, she married Frank Terry, who preceded her in death in 2005. Survivors include three sons, Michael R. Wilson and Samuel L. Wilson, both of Seymour, and Steven W. Wilson, Cortland; two sisters, Doris Fish, Seymour, and Linda Burham, Grand Chain, Ill.; three brothers, John Williams, Evansville, Ronald Williams, Orlando, Fla., and Denny Joe Williams, Seymour; seven grandchildren; and a great-grandchild. She was preceded in death by a son, Mark W. Wilson; a sister, Rose Williams; and three brothers, Robert Williams, Charles Michael Williams and Donald Williams. The Rev. Clifton Burton and the Rev. Ron Wilson will conduct funeral services at 10 a.m. Thursday at Voss Chapel, Seymour. Burial will take place at Cortland Cemetery. Friends may call from 4 p.m. to 8 p.m. Wednesday and from 9 a.m. until time of service Thursday at the funeral home.
