Seymour Daily Tribune January 12, 2007 Bill Tobias Jan 10, 1929 - Jan. 9, 2007 Bill Tobias, 77, Edinburgh, died at 1:07 p.m. Tuesday, Jan. 9, 2007, at Columbus Regional Hospital. Mr. Tobias was a 1946 graduate of Columbus High School and was a member of Taylorsville United Methodist Church. He also was a member of Odd Fellows and the Edinburgh and German Township fire departments, was a Willing Workers 4-H leader for 20 years and was a lifelong farmer in Bartholomew County. Born Jan. 10, 1929, in Shelby County, he was a son of John Tobias Sr. and Clara Southerland Tobias, both of whom preceded him in death. On May 21, 1949, he married Dacia Thompson, who survives. Other survivors include three sons, Andy (Marsha) Tobias, Flat Rock, and David (Sharon) Tobias and Sam (Rita) Tobias, both of Columbus; two daughters, Lecia (Bill) Clark, Flat Rock, and Molly (Aaron) Claycamp, Seymour; and nine grandchildren. He was preceded in death by a daughter, Deborah Edell Tobias; a brother, John Tobias Jr.; and a sister, Charlotte Miner. The Rev. Lonnie Goen and the Rev. Sandy Clark will conduct funeral services at 10:30 a.m. Friday at Eskew-Eaton Funeral Home, Edinburgh. Burial will take place at Rest Haven Cemetery, Edinburgh. Friends may call from 4 p.m. to 8 p.m. today at the funeral home.
