Seymour Daily Tribune - January 27, 2005 Donald Lee Trapp Aug. 12, 1925 – Jan. 26, 2005 Donald Lee Trapp, 79, Seymour, died Wednesday, Jan. 26, 2005, at his residence. Mr. Trapp was a veteran of the United States Navy and a member of Calvary Baptist Church, Seymour. He worked for Arvins for 29 years and retired from Cummins Engine Co. in 1986. He also was a farmer. Born Aug. 12, 1925, in Jennings County, he was a son of Fred N. Trapp and Verna Johnson Trapp, who preceded him in death. He married Viola Mae Jackson Feb. 22, 1946, at Uniontown, and she survives. He also is survived by two children, Robert Dale Trapp, Brownstown, and Donna Kay (Mike) Starr, Cortland; a brother, Murrell Trapp, Seymour; five sisters, Fern Russell, Morgantown, Carol Clark, Seymour, Phyllis Burke, Seymour, Margaret Ritz, Crothers-ville, and Vivian Smith, Paris Crossing; four grandchildren, Corey Dale Trapp, Seymour, Peggy (Jeff) Brewer, Greenfield, Penny (Mike) Jones, Seymour, and Crystal (Chris) Bryant, Seymour; and eight great-grandchildren, Andy and Jessie Brewer, Greenfield, Jimmy and Jenny Jones, Seymour, Julieann and Justin Jones, Seymour, and Samantha and Logan Bryant, Seymour. He was preceded in death by two brothers, Ermil Trapp and Ernest Trapp; and a sister, Fairy Trapp. The Rev. J.E. Hail Jr. will conduct funeral services at 10:30 a.m. Saturday at Voss and Sons Funeral Service, Voss Chapel, Seymour, with burial at Riverview Cemetery. Full military graveside rites will be conducted by Veterans of Foreign Wars Post 1925, American Legion Post 89, Disabled American Veterans 47 and Vietnam Veterans 7, all of Seymour. Friends may call from 4 p.m. to 8 p.m. Friday and from 9:30 a.m. until time of service Saturday at the funeral home. Memorials may be made to Calvary Baptist Church.
