Seymour Daily Tribune Fletia M. Turner November 1, 2006 Feb. 11, 1936 - Nov. 9, 2006 Fletia M. Turner, 70, Medora, died at 5:20 p.m. Thursday, Nov. 9, 2006, at Bloomington Hospital. Mrs. Turner was a member of Good Shepherd Lutheran Church, Medora. She was a homemaker and worked for several years at Medora Plastic Factory and Osram Sylvania in Seymour. She was a loving, caring and dedicated mother, wife, grandmother and great-grandmother. She enjoyed attending Good Shepherd Lutheran Church, gardening, going to yard sales and visiting with family and friends. Born Feb. 11, 1936, in Medora, she was a daughter of Walter Treadway and Margaret "Maggie" Wright, both of whom preceded in death. On March 3, 1956, in Lawrence County, she married Kenneth Turner, who died Sept. 24, 1997. Survivors include a son, Kenny (Kelly) Turner, Medora; a daughter, Lynn Turner, Medora; five grandchildren, Tess (Daniel) Rice, Travis Rose, Forrest Turner, Sean Turner and Katie Turner; and five great-grandchildren, Kennedie Miller, Gunner Miller, Mackenzie Rose, Leighton Rose and Landon Rose. She was preceded in death by her stepfather, Homer Guthrie; a brother, John F. Treadway; and two sisters, Anna Mae Turner and Mary Kent. The Rev. Larry Mallett will conduct funeral services at 1 p.m. Monday at Hague Funeral Home, Medora. Burial will take place at White River Valley Cemetery, Medora. Visitation will be from 4 p.m. to 8 p.m. Sunday and from 10 a.m. until time of service Monday at the funeral home. Memorials may be given to Good Shepherd Lutheran Church, Medora, or donor's choice.
