DIED

John Van Riper, a clever good citizen of Hayden died at noon Thursday, December 22, 1898 with lung trouble, aged 69 years. Deceased was an honest, upright man and a member and deacon in the Baptist church. He leaves a family. The funeral will take place from the Baptist church there at 10:30 Sunday forenoon. Rev. Burton of Mitchell will officiate.
