Seymour Daily Tribune February 25, 2002 Gladys Helen Vierling Gladys Helen Vierling, 78, Seymour, died at 1:05 p.m. Wednesday, Feb. 20, 2002, at Hoosier Christian Village, Brownstown. She had been in failing health for three years. Mrs. Vierling was a member of Pilgrim Holiness Church and worked at Betty’s Town House for several years. Born May 20, 1923, at Sesser, Ill., she was a daughter of Wilbur Lloyd and Altia Robinson Lloyd. In 1952, in Seymour, she married Elmer A. Vierling, who preceded her in death. Survivors include three sons, David Lee Griffin and Victor Vierling, both of Seymour, and Larry Linnaberry, Columbus; three daughters, Linda McCarty, Orange, Calif., Shirley Vierling McCasland, Seymour, and Marilyn Vierling Stainbrook, Austin; a brother, David Lloyd, Sesser, Ill.; a sister, Ida Mae Reich, Decatur Ill.; 22 grandchildren; and 34 great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by a son, Byford G. Griffin; a daughter, Eva June; a brother, Joe Lloyd; two sisters, Lois Goodjines and Nadine Lloyd; a grandson, Gary Lynn Lee; and a granddaughter, Carrie Lee. The Rev. Robert Leach was to conduct services at 1 p.m. today at Voss and Sons Funeral Service, Voss Chapel, Seymour. Burial was to be in Riverview Cemetery, Seymour. Memorials may be given to the American Heart Fund or Hoosier Christian Village.
