Arrangements are pending at Voss & Sons Funeral Service, Seymour. August 31, 2007 Walter Dan VonFange Walter Dan VonFange, 69, Seymour, passed away at 6:25 p.m. Thursday, Aug. 30, 2007, at Indiana University Medical Center, Indianapolis. Mr. VonFange attended the First Church of the Nazarene. He retired as deputy chief from the Seymour Fire Department, Dec. 25, 1989, after 24 years of service. He was a member of the Eagles Club. Born Aug. 24, 1938, in Peru, he was a son of Walter and Violet O. (Rentzel) VonFange, both of whom preceded him in death. On May 27, 1959, at Redeemer Lutheran Church, he married Pauline (Brock) VonFange, who survives. Other survivors include his children, Peggy (Greg) Burton, Barbara (David) Coryea, David (Angie) VonFange, Mike VonFange; grandchildren, Crystal Burton, Matt Burton, Dusty Coryea, Sandy Coryea, Kyle VonFange, Bryce VonFange, Emily VonFange; great-grandchildren, Taylor Crockett, Jasper Crockett; and sisters, Marguerite (Robert) Findley, June (Lloyd) Hines. Brother Steve Brock, Brother Dale Stewart and Fire Chief Fred Hines will conduct funeral services at 10 a.m. Monday at Voss Chapel, Seymour. Burial will take place at Riverview Cemetery, Seymour. Friends may call from 4 p.m. to 8 p.m. Sunday and from 9 a.m. until time of service Monday at the funeral home. Memorials may be given to Myers Cancer Center or the Firefighters Local Association.
