Seymour Daily Tribune L. Maxine McKee-Warren March 21, 1925 – May 15, 2006 L. Maxine McKee-Warren, 81, New Castle, died Monday, May 15, 2006, at Americare Living Center in New Castle after an extended illness. She came to New Castle in 1950 from Fort Worth, Texas, and had previously worked for Indiana Bell Telephone for 11 years. She previously attended Whittier Lane Baptist Church, where she and her late husband, the Rev. Phillip McKee, were founders and served for 26 years. She presently was a member of South Memorial Drive Church of God. Born March 21, 1925, in Edinburgh, she was a daughter of Ray and Opal Park Coy, both of whom preceded her in death. Survivors include her husband of 28 years, Garland Warren, New Castle; three daughters, Aloma (Robert) Chesher, New Castle, Donna (Timothy) Criswell, Seymour, and Denise (Don) Skidmore, West Virginia; seven grandchildren, Rob Chesher, Whitney Chesher, Phillip (Stephanie) Criswell, Shane (Amy) Criswell, Celena (Bradley) Wilson, Alison Skidmore and Alex Skidmore; a sister, Faye Hoover, Sheridan; several nieces, nephews and cousins; three stepdaughters, Lois (Arthur) Jones, Kentucky, Mary (Cecil) Tinch, Tennessee, and Sarah (Billy) Cooper, Richmond; 15 stepgrandchildren; 26 stepgreat-grandchildren; and five stepgreat-great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her first husband, the Rev. Philip G. McKee; a sister, Evelyn McKee; and two brothers, Bud and Russell Coy. The Rev. Mark Martin will conduct funeral services at 11 a.m. Thursday at Hinsey-Brown Funeral Service, New Castle. Burial will follow in South Mound Cemetery.
