Seymour Daily Tribune December 7, 2006 Jewelle Fern Waskom Feb. 27, 1920 - Dec. 6, 2006 Jewelle Fern Waskom, 86, Vallonia, died at 6 p.m. Wednesday, Dec. 6, 2006, at Hoosier Christian Village, Brownstown. Mrs. Waskom was a member of Medora Pentecostal Church and worked in the grocery store business. Born Feb. 27, 1920, in Medora, she was a daughter of John W. Shelton and Grace Hamilton Shelton, both of whom preceded her in death. In 1936, in Brownstown, she married Norman Waskom, who died Feb. 21, 1986. Survivors include three brothers, William Talmage Shelton, Virginia, Vincent Eugene Shelton, North Vernon, and Carrol Dean Shelton, Seymour, and a sister, Vivian Blanche Bowers, Vallonia. She was preceded in death by two brothers, Raymond Lee and Ervin Edward Shelton, and two sisters, Flossy Virginia Hopkins and Wilma June Branaman. Tim Gill will conduct funeral services at 1 p.m. Saturday at Medora Pentecostal Church. Burial will take place at Vallonia Cemetery. Friends may call from 4 p.m. to 8 p.m. Friday at Johnson Funeral Home, Vallonia, and from noon until time of service Saturday at the church. Memorials may be given to the Vallonia Cemetery Fund.
