Seymour Daily Tribune - Friday, January 31, 1986 Guy V. Weddel Guy V. Weddel, 91, formerly of 1325 W. Commerce St., Brownstown, died Thursday morning at his daughter's home in Indianapolis, after being in failing health for two years. He was retired farmer and employee of Kieffer Paper Mill, a member of Brownstown Baptist Church and a veteran of World War I. Born Sept. 10, 1894, he was the son of the late James and Eva McHargue Weddel. He married Pluma Harrell on Oct. 16, 1931, in Brownstown. She died in 1979. Survivors include one daughter, Mrs Gaynelle Gray, Indianapolis; one brother, Earl Weddel, Seymour; and three grandchildren, Pamela Cox and Lisa Gray, both of Indianapolis; and Lelon Gray, with the U.S. Navy in California. He was preceded in death by three brothers. Services will be conducted at 1:30 p.m. Saturday at Spurgeon Funeral Home in Brownstown, with the Rev. Tom Willett officiating. Burial will be in Fairview Cemetery in Brownstown. Friends may call from 2 p.m. to 9 p.m. today and from 9 a.m. to time of services Saturday at the funeral home. Memorials may be designated to Brownstown Baptist Church Building Fund.
