The Tribune Seymour, Indiana Monday, February 22, 1897 Page 3 DIED Mrs. John Wente, an esteemed and Christian lady died at 11 o'clock Saturday night, February 20, 1897, at her home on White Creek, with disease resulting from the grip, aged 68 years. She was born in Germany and came to this country half a century ago. In her death Hamilton township has lost one who was loved by all. She has been an invalid for a long time and she was ready at any time to answer the summons of her Divine Master. Three daughters and one son, William H. Wente, of Seymour, survive, who have the tender sympathies of their hosts of friends. Funeral at 1 o'clock tomorrow afternoon. Interment at the Herbs church cemetery.
