Seymour Daily Tribune May 16, 2002 Betty E. Wick Betty E. Wick, 72, North Vernon, died at 2 p.m. Wednesday, May 15, 2002, at Columbus Regional Hospital, Columbus. Mrs. Wick was a 1947 graduate of Barr Township High School in Montgomery. She was a cashier for nine years at Fast Max in North Vernon. Before that, she worked for Jennings County Schools in the cafeteria for 10 years. She was a Boy Scout leader for over 20 years and was a member of First Christian Church in North Vernon. Born June 26, 1929, in Daviess County. She was a daughter of Frank Frederick and Margaret Gardner Frederick, who both preceded her in death. In November 1960, in Juarez, Mexico, she married Eugene Wick and he preceded her in 1975. She is survived by two sons, Philip Wick, North Vernon, and Timothy Wick, Bloomington; two stepsons, Joseph Wick, Washington, and Edward Wick, Petersburg; a stepdaughter, Edna Lessig, Weatherford, Texas; several grandchildren, including Joshua Wick, Tulsa, Okla., Zachery Wick and Jennifer Oltman, both of Bloomington, Jon Wick, Shawn Wick, and Michael Scott Wick, all of North Vernon, and Kristy Baker, Muncie; several great-grandchildren including, Dylan Wick and Shaston Killey, both of North Vernon, Davina Mercer and Timmy Baker, both of Muncie, and Case Oltman and Avery Oltman, both of Bloomington; two brothers, Edward Frederick and Donald Frederick, both of Washington and four sisters, Dorothy May, Sue O’Bryan, Garnetta Roach, all of Washington, and Mary Fagg, Sullivan. She also was preceded by a son, David Wick; and two sisters, Nellie Palmer and Julie Davis. The Rev. Larry McIntosh will conduct funeral services at 2 p.m. Saturday at Poindexter-Hall-McClure Funeral Home, Washington. Burial will be at New Veal Creek Cemetery, Washington. Friends may call from 4 p.m. to 8 p.m. Friday at Dove-Sharp and Rudicel Funeral Home, North Vernon, and from 11 a.m. until time of services Saturday at Poindexter-Hall-McClure Funeral Home. Memorials may be made to the American Cancer Society, through the Funeral Home.
