Seymour Daily Tribune Mary E. Williams Dec. 12, 1920 - Dec. 26, 1995 Mary E. Williams, 75, of Seymour died at 5:07 p.m. Tuesday, Dec 26, 1995, at Memorial Hospital in Seymour. Williams was a homemaker. Born Dec. 12, 1920, in Jackson County, she was a daughter of Claude and Beatrice Jaynes Bedel. She was a lifelong resident of Jackson County. On March 22, 1944, in Scottsburg she married Elmer E. Williams and he died on March 1, 1989. Survivors include two daughters, Kathleen Cox, Lebanon, Tenn.; and Alice Hawn Thompson, Vallonia; a step-daughter, Judy Anne Perko, Freetown; a step-son, Kenneth Williams, Orleans; two brothers, Ivan and Francis Bedel, both of Seymour; five sisters, Ruth Ray and Edith Beckman, both of Seymour; Emma Bedel, Uniontown; Ann Gay, Brownstown; and Doris Bedel, North Vernon; and several grandchildren, great-grandchildren and great-great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by seven brother, four sisters and two grand-daughters. Services will be conducted at 1 p.m. Thursday at Johnson Funeral Home, Vallonia with burial to follow in Vallonia Cemetery. Friends may call from 11 a.m. to time of service Thursday at the funeral home.
