Seymour Daily Tribune March 12, 2002 Christeen E. Wilson Christeen E. Wilson, 72, Seymour, died at 8:05 a.m. Tuesday, March 12, 2002, at her home. Mrs. Wilson attended New Life Assembly of God in Seymour. She retired from Excello Shirt Factory after 34 years. She was a member of the American Legion and Moose Club. Born Sept. 30, 1929, in Chattanooga, Tenn., she was a daughter of Carl Sylvester Hardy and Myrtle Mae Hixon Hardy. On Nov. 17, 1946, in Catoosa County, Ga., she married Robert George Wilson, who died Aug. 17, 2001. Survivors include four sons, Robert “Bobby” Wilson Jr., Joseph Wilson, Ronnie Wilson and James C. Wilson, all of Seymour; three daughters, Diane Beaty and Melvina Bloom, both of Seymour, and Darlene Edwards, North Vernon; two sons-in-law, Richard Beaty and Dave Bloom, both of Seymour; Will Callahan, North Vernon; four daughters-in-law, Rebecca Wilson, Nylene Wilson, BJ Wilson and Wanda Wilson, all of Seymour; 23 grandchildren; and 36 great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by two brothers, Melvin Hardy and James Edward Hardy; a sister, Kathleen Bunch; and a granddaughter, Rene M. Wilson. The Rev. Stephen Hyer will conduct services at 10:30 a.m. Saturday at Voss and Sons Funeral Service, Voss Chapel, Seymour. Burial will be in Riverview Cemetery, Seymour. Friends may call from 4 p.m. to 8 p.m. Friday and from 9 a.m. until time of service Saturday at the funeral home. Memorials may be given to the American Cancer Society, American Lung Association or New Life Assembly of God.
