Seymour Tribune - Tuesday, September 06, 2005 David William Woodson Feb. 22, 1936 – Sept. 3, 2005 David William “Bill” Woodson, 69, Seymour, died at 9:30 a.m. Saturday, September 3, 2005, at Schneck Medical Center, Seymour. Mr. Woodson was a veteran of the U.S. Army. He was employed at Thompson Industries for 22 years working in the paint department. He was a member of Apostolic Pentecostal Tabernacle Church and loved squirrel and rabbit hunting, fishing and playing cards, especially euchre and rook. Born February 22, 1936, in Columbus, he was a son of Tevis R. and Mary Coffman Woodson, both of whom preceded him in death. On Nov. 1, 1958, in Brownstown, he married Linda Fields Woodson, who survives. Other survives include one son, David Woodson, Seymour; seven brothers, Wilfred (Judy) Woodson, Seymour; James (Joy) Woodson, Scipio; Delbert (Earline) Woodson, Columbus; Virgil (Sharon) Woodson, Ronnie (Janet) Woodson, both of North Vernon; Robert Woodson, Hayden; Rev. Thomas (Donna) Woodson, Robinson, IL; one sister, Barbara Bluett, Seymour; one aunt; Vivian Lenora Wright, Acme; and numerous nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by one daughter in infancy; one sister, Wanda Rolland; and one brother, Jerry Woodson. The Rev. Larry Arrowood and the Rev. Todd Smith will conduct funeral services at 11 a.m. Thursday at Burkholder Funeral Chapel, Seymour. Burial will take place at Redding Cemetery. Friends may call from 4 p.m. to 8 p.m. Wednesday and from 10 a.m. until time of service Thursday at the funeral home. A military graveside service will be conducted by American Legion 89, VFW 1425, DAV 47 and Vietnam Veterans 7.
