Seymour Tribune Edith L. Wright Edith L. Wright, 84, went home to be with our Lord on Sunday, Nov. 30, 2008, at the Covered Bridge Health Campus in Seymour. Mrs. Wright was a member of Central Christian Church for more than 50 years and participated in various areas of its community outreach, including CWF and Busy Hands. Even while hampered with arthritis, she loved making quilts for newborn babies. As a homemaker she was devoted to the care and well-being of her immediate and ever-expanding family. She and her husband enjoyed traveling and visited nearly all 50 states, while bringing home carefully planned souvenirs to their children. She was an excellent cook, wonderful wife, mother and grandmother and will be greatly missed. Upon graduating from Clearspring High School, she moved to Seymour, where she enjoyed her remaining years. Born April 28, 1924, in Kokomo, she was the daughter of Charles Howard and Goldi Mae Bridgewater, both of whom preceded her in death. As a young girl she moved with her parents and brother, Ronald, to Jackson County. Survivors include her four children, Ladonna (Clifford) Helms, McAllen, Texas, Ronald Fish, Cheryl (Joseph) Black, and Richard (Marcie) Wright, Seymour; 12 grandchildren and 19 great-grandchildren; several nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her brother and her beloved husband of 53 years, Arnold Leo Wright. Graveside services will be held at noon Wednesday at Riverview Cemetery. Friends may call from 11 a.m. to noon Wednesday at Voss Chapel, Seymour.
