Arthur Yeary

Arthur Yeary, 92, Clearspring, died at 12:02 a.m. Wednesday, April 10, 2002, at Hoosier Christian Village, Brownstown. He had been ill for one year.
Mr. Yeary was retired from Swain Industries, Seymour, and raised tobacco and strawberries.
Born Dec. 2, 1908, in Lee County, Va., he was a son of Carl and Josie Young Yeary. He married Mary Collins and she died in 1978. He married Martha Collins and she survives. In 1968 he married Doris Clampitt and she died in August 2000.
He is survived by a son, John (Pat) Yeary, Freetown; three daughters, Eula (Calvin) Mansfield, Butler, and Roxie (George) Reynolds and Jeannette Sitterding, both of Brownstown; two brothers, Paul Yeary, Kentucky, and Conley Yeary, Virginia; 12 grandchildren, 20 great-grandchildren and five great-great-grandchildren.
He also was preceded in death by a son, Ted Yeary; two grandchildren, three brothers and one sister.
The Rev. M.L. Walls will conduct funeral services at 11 a.m. Saturday at Spurgeon Funeral Home, Brownstown. Burial will be at Fairview Cemetery, Lawrence County.
Friends may call from 4 p.m. to 8 p.m. Friday and from 9 a.m. until time of service Saturday at the funeral home.
Memorials may be given to the Hoosier Christian Village Auxiliary.
