Ruth B. Young, 75, Seymour, died at 5:37 p.m. Monday, Dec. 11, 2006, at her residence.
Mrs. Young was a homemaker and member of Apostolic Pentecostal Tabernacle. She enjoyed fishing and embroidery.
Born Sept. 13, 1931, in Seymour, she was a daughter of Ira Lance and Ella Mae (Helton) Koerner, both of whom preceded her in death. On April 17, 1954, she married Paul E. Young, who survives.
Other survivors include two daughters, Paula (Brenton) Garriott and Mona (Sonny) Sullivan, both of Seymour; three grandchildren, Joshua Garriott, Kristina Sullivan, and Shannon Dailey, all of Seymour; two great-grandchildren, Vivian Haislup and Brandyn Sullivan, both of Seymour; and a sister, Edna Lynch, Seymour.
She was preceded in death by a sister, Stella (Perkins) Lafferty.
The Rev. Dennis Allman will conduct funeral services at 11 a.m. Thursday at Voss Chapel, Seymour. Burial will take place at Riverview Cemetery in Seymour.
Visitation will be from 4 p.m. to 8 p.m. Wednesday and from 10 a.m. until time of service Thursday at the funeral home.
Memorials may be given to The Ronald McDonald House of Indianapolis.
