Francis Bishop

Francis Bishop who died February 18, 1893, was born March 2, 1814 in
Wurttemberg,
Germany.
Came to America in the year 1835; was on the
ocean three months and twelve
days, landing in New York City,
September 3, 1835. Was married September 25, 1936 at
Bucyrus, Ohio to Thomas Bishop.
She leaves four sons and three daughters and a number of grandchildren
and great
grandchildren, with many relatives and friends to mourn her
loss.
The deceased lived
fifty-four
years with her husband. Besides the children above
mentioned, one of her
sons fell in the late
rebellion.
Her age was 78 years, 11 months and 16 days.
Her funeral was preached by Rev. J. B. Watson of the First
Congregational Church of
Portland.Portland
