Arthur Lally was born Nov. 8, 1858 and died at the residence of his parents near Bryant, Jay County, Ind., June 23, 1887, aged 28 years, 6 months and 15 days. Arthur selected early in life, his profession, that of teaching and gave dignity and character to the profession. His morality and integrity were unchallenged by all who knew him. He bore his sufferings with remarkable patience, and died trusting in Jesus Christ for immorality and eternal happiness beyond the grave.
Funeral services were conducted by Rev. F. Stovenour in the Lutheran Church
in Bryant, in the presence of a large and intelligent congregation, after
which the remains were interred in the Bloomfield Cemetery.
