Mrs. Pearl Baughman Schroeder, 85, Fort Wayne, a native of Jay County, died Saturday afternoon at the Turtle Creek Nursing Home in Fort Wayne after an extended illness.
She was born February 20, 1888 in Pike Township, Jay County. She was first married to Samuel Baughman, who died April 19, 1937. In 1952 she was married to George Schroeder, who died January 25, 1965.
Surviving are two sons, Ralph Baughman, Dayton, Ohio and Lyle Baughman, Fort Wayne; two sisters, Mrs. Pheba Morris, Warren and Mrs. Amanda Sweigart, Bronson, Mich.; eight grandchildren, 15 great-grandchildren and two great-great grandchildren.
Funeral services are set for 2 pm Tuesday at the Williamson and Spencer
Funeral Home in Portland; Rev. J. Robert Boggs will officiate. Burial will
follow in Bluff Point Cemetery. Friends may call at the funeral home.
