Martha Green Sutton was born in Mercer County, Ohio January 24, 1838 and died February 18, 1893, aged 54 years and 16 days. She came with her parents, Salem and Margaret Green to Wayne Township, Jay County, Ind., in May 1839. She was married to Theodore S. McClaughlin in 1854 by whom she bore trhee children, two of whom survive her. Her husband enlisted in the war of the Union in 1862 and died in the Army in 1863.
At the close of the war, she married Jacob Sutton to whom was six children, five of whom survive her - three girls and two boys.
She was buried in Bluff Point Cemetery where rest the remains of her mother, husband - Jacob Sutton and one of her children.
