Elizabeth Smith was born in Perry County, Ohio, March 16, 1834 and came
with her parents, Matthew and Elizabeth Bailey about the year 1852 to Jay
County. She was united in marriage to Levi Smith in the year 1861, to which
union two children were born; two daughters, Mrs. Alonzo Michaels and Mrs.
Daniel Losch. There is left to mourn their loss a husband, two daughters, a
sister, and a brother.
She departed this life December 30, 1902, aged
69 years, 9 months and 15 days.
Funeral was held Thursday January 1
at 1 o’clock at Boundary. Interment at same place, conducted by Rev. Peters.
