Anna (Yekley) Wagner

2/1/1835 - 6/4/1889

Anna (Yekley) Wagner (sic – Wegmer) was born Feb. 1, 1835 in Derremcattetten, Germany, and died at her home three and one-half miles north of Ridgeville in Jay County, Ind., June 4, 1889, aged 54 years, 4 months and 3 days.

She emigrated to Lancaster County, Pennsylvania in 1854 and was married to Fredrick Wagner April 9, 1856, and moved to Preble County, Ohio in the same year. Thence to Wayne County, Ind., in 1857, and thence to Jay County, where they have resided until death hasseparated them.

To this couple was born twelve children, six of whom preceded her tothe better world, thus leaving a husband and six children to mourn their loss.

Mrs. Wagner united with the Evangelical Church in 1862 and has been a faithful member, daily imploring the Lord to bless her family.

Funeral services were conducted by G. H. Bonnell, to quite a large concourse of people, after which the remains were interred in the Finch Graveyard.
