Worley W. Gierhart, 85, of New York, a former resident of
Adams County, died last Saturday in St. Luke’s Hospital, New York. He was a
resident of Bryant for many years and was a retired teacher.
He was born in Adams County on Dec. 18, 1889, son of Bruce and Lorinda
Glentzer-Gierhart. Surviving are several cousins.
He
graduated from Portland high School in 1908 and from Trinity State College.
Graveside funeral services will be held at 11 a.m. today at
the Gravel Hill Cemetery, with Ward Weisel officiating. The
Williamson-Spencer Funeral Home, Portland, was in charge of the services.
