PHILIP L. HAMPSON, 69,died Thursday at Ball Memorial Hospital, Muncie. Born in Jay County, he was a Bearcreek Township farmer. Surviving are his wife, Nancy; a daughter, Cheryl Milligan of Granger; two sons, Jeff of Fort Wayne and Kent of Portland; two brothers, Reginald and William, both of Portland; two sisters, Regina Roser of Portland and Dortha Gillespie of Warsaw; and five grandchildren.

Services at 10 a.m. Monday at Redeemer Lutheran Church, Bryant. Calling from noon to 5 p.m. Sunday at Baird-Freeman Funeral Home, Portland.

Burial in Gravel Hill Cemetery, Bryant. Memorials to the church.

In Loving Memory
Phil Hampson, Jay County REMC director from District 5 passed away on Jan. 21, 1999.

Phil had been a Jay County REMC board member since 1972. While on the board Phil served as chairman of the employee and operations committee. Phil owned and operated Fairacres Farm in rural Bryan.

Our deepest sympathy is extended to his wife, Nancy and their three children: Cheryl, Jeff and Kent.
