Ruby C. Elliott

Ruby C. Elliott, age 74, a resident of Loogootee, Indiana, passed away on Tuesday, May 1, 2018 at Indiana University Health Hospital in Indianapolis. She was a former Portland resident.
Ruby was born in Portland on December 12, 1943, the daughter of Pete and Cleo H. (Brenner) Irelan.
She attended Dunkirk High School and graduated from Oscado High School in Oscado, Michigan. She worked for Portland Box Company from 1981 – 1985. Ruby married Vernon Elliott on March 2, 1968 and he passed away on December 21, 2010.

1 daughter: Renee Ullom (companion Craig Eley) – Bryant, Indiana

James Irelan – Scott, Michigan,
Jerry Irelan – Portland, Indiana,
Joseph Huey – Pennsylvania
1 sister-in-law: Joan Perkins –
Eaton, Indiana
8 grandchildren and 3 great grandchildren
Visitation will be held on Saturday from 1 – 6 p.m. at Williamson and Spencer Funeral Home in Portland.
Funeral services will be held on Sunday at 3 p.m. at Williamson and Spencer Funeral Home in Portland. Pastor Paula Hunnicutt will officiate and burial will follow in Green Park Cemetery in Portland.
Memorials may be directed towards the Portland American
Legion Post #211 or the Loogootee American Legion Post #120.
