LILLIAN FARLOW EVANS, 33,DIES AT PORLAND SAT
Funeral Tuesday P.M. for Native of Berne Community ,Dies of Cancer

Mrs. Lillian Farlow Evans, 33, wife of Chester Evans, of Portland and eldest daughter of Arthur Farlow southeast of town passed away at her home in Portland Saturday afternoon at 3:30 o’clock, death having been caused by cancer.

Announcement of the death was made Sunday morning from the pulpit of the First Missionary Church here, where the father and Mrs. Farlow attend.

The deceased was a former resident of Berne and lived in the community from birth until her marriage. She was born southeast of town in Wabash township on October 25, 1909.

She is survived by her husband and five children, Mrs. Laverne….Thelma and Dian. The latter is a baby of seven or eight months. Surviving also are the father and step-mother, Mr. and Mrs. Arthur Farlow near Berne; the mother, Mrs. Cynthia Thomas Price of New York; two brothers and one sister, Wayne and Dale with the navy, both in the southwest Pacific, and Clara, wife of Merrill Weaver of Geneva.

Funeral services will be at the Baird Funeral home in Portland at 1:30 o’clock Tuesday afternoon. The pastor of the Wesleyan Methodist church of this city will officiate. Burial will be in Green Park cemetery in Portland.
