Keith B. Field, 67, of route 1, Portland, the husband
of a former Decatur resident, Helen Christen-Field, died Thursday morning at
the Clinic hospital in Bluffton. He was retired from Sheller-Globe Corp.
after more than 40 years of service.
Born July 4, 1909,
in Portland, he was the son of Russell and Theresa Bleu-Field, and was
married to Helen Christen on August 19, 1933, and she survives, along with
26 nieces and nephews.
He was a veteran of World War 11
and a member of American Legion post 211.
Mr. Field was
director of the Jay county Fair Board and a member of the Portland Elks
Lodge.
Funeral services will be held at 1:30 p.m. today
at the Baird Freeman funeral home, Portland, with Roger Rankin officiating.
Burial will follow in Green Park cemetery. Memorials are to the Jay county
Cancer Fund.
