Barbara Sue Boggs, age 84, a resident of Portland, passed away peacefully
on Wednesday, May 3, 2017 at 9:37 P.M. in her home surrounded by family.
Barbara was born on July 16, 1932, in Hartford City, the daughter of
Harry and Thelma (Stewart) Kimmel. She graduated from Hartford City High
School in 1950. Barbara worked in the lab of the Portland Hospital and
during the 1980’s was the owner of The Shoestring, a shoe store in Portland.
She later became a realtor for Hanlin Real Estate. She was member of Delta
Theta Tau Sorority. She married Lewis E. Boggs who survives her, on March
19, 1954.

Sister: Kathy Price – rural Portland, Indiana
Visitation will be held on Sunday, May 7th from noon to 3 p.m. at the Baird
Freeman Funeral Home in Portland.
Funeral services will be held on Monday May 8th at 10 a.m. at the Baird
Freeman Funeral Home in Portland. Pastor Mark Strietelmeier will officiate
and burial will follow in the Green Park in Portland.
