Marceil N. Nixon, 84
PORTLAND, Ind.—Marceil N. Nixon, 84, died
Wednesday at her home on R.R. 1.
She and her husband, Glen Nixon, who died in 1985, farmed in Jefferson Township, Jay County, for many years.
Mrs. Nixon was a Jay County native. She was a member of Rebekah Lodge and the Moose Lodge Auxiliary, both of Portland.
Surviving are a daughter, Wanda (Mrs. Alva) Eley; two sons, Dick and Tom Nixon, and a sister, Delee Lyons, all of Portland; 10 grandchildren, and 17 great-grandchildren.
Services will be at 2 p.m. Saturday in the Portland Chapel of Williamson & Spencer Funeral Home, with Rev. Gary Phillips officiating. Burial will be in Green Park Cemetery. Calling is 2-9 p.m. today at the funeral home.
Memorials may be sent to New Mount Pleasant United Methodist Church.
