 FATHER OF MRS. JEFF ZUERCHER DIES

 FUNERAL SATURDAY FOR EDGAR E. AYRES, 56, OF REDKEY

Redkey, Aug. 12.—Edgar E. Ayres, 56, manager of the Cline-Wilt Lumber Company at Portland, died at his home here Thursday morning following an extended illness.
 Survivors include the widow, Adda; three daughters, Mrs. Jeff (Elsie) Zuercher of Berne, Mrs. Frank (Rosemary) Hollis of Redkey and Mrs. Charlie (Patricia) Balle of Redkey; three sons, Cary C. of Whiting, Donald of Portland and David of Bloomington; three brothers, J. E. Ayres, Lake Wales, Fla., Paul, Dunkirk, and Leroy, Redkey and three sisters, Miss Blanche Ayres, Redkey; Mrs. Homer McDaniel, Dunkirk, and Mrs. G. E. Bradley, Fort Wayne and 10 grandchildren.

In addition to being manager of the Cline-Wilt Lumber Company for the past 2 years, he was vice president of the Ayres Lumber Company of Redkey and Dunkirk. He was a member of the Ridgeville Doric Lodge of Masons and the Randolph County Chapter of Royal Arch Masons.

 Private funeral services will be held at 2 p.m. Saturday at the home, with burial in the Redkey Cemetery. The services are private because of the polio situation in the Redkey community.
