James T.
Nichols, 60, died at 9:30 pm Saturday at Woodland Nursing Home, Muncie. He
was employed at Coby Brookbank Cadillac Dealership, Portland also formerly
employed at Phillips 66 Service Station, Portland. He retired from the US
Army after 27 years.
Surviving are his parents, John and Lydia of
Portland; a daughter, Silvia of Germany; four sisters, Edna Justice of
Wartburg, Tenn., Martha Zigler of Princeton, Texas, Patti Peg of Muncie and
Sue Camp of Portland and four brothers, Joe of Albany, Tom of Redkey, Bob of
Portland and Ron of Marion.
Services at 10:30 am Wednesday at
Williamson & Spencer Portland Chapel, calling from 3 to 8 pm Tuesday and
before services on Wednesday. Burial in Hill Crest Cemetery, south of
Redkey.
