John H. Bricher age 79, 7311 North 650 East Bryant passed away early Saturday morning at the Jay County Hospital. He was born in Portland April 24, 1939, the son of Otto and Anna Victoria (Hartnagel) Bricher. He was married May 7, 1960, to Judith Ann Holly who survives.
He was retired from ABB (formerly Westinghouse) in Muncie. He was a member of Holy Trinity Catholic Church, Men's Sodality, Limberlost Square Dancers and 1957 Bryant High School graduate.
Surviving are his wife Judith Ann, three daughters Beth Pickett (husband Jim) of Portland, Pam Hawbaker (husband Lynn) of Geneva and Susan Lawrence (husband Matt) of Columbia City, one sister Patricia Stewart of Burlington, NC., Seven grandchildren and four great-grandchildren, several nieces and nephews and great and great-great nieces and nephews.
Mass of Christian Burial will be Wednesday at 10:30 AM in Holy Trinity Catholic Church with Father Ken Ault presiding. Burial will follow in the Holy Trinity Cemetery. Visitation will be Tuesday from 3:00 – 7:00 PM in the Baird-Freeman Funeral Home. Memorials can be made to the Jay County Cancer Society.
