Cody L. Mitchel, 26, of Pennville, IN, passed away at 6:32 AM on
Wednesday, January 01, 2020 at IU Jay County Hospital in Portland, IN. He
was born on Friday, January 29, 1993, in Muncie, IN. Cody was a 2012
graduate of Jay County High School. He attended the Union Chapel Church and
had also attended the Pennville United Methodist Church. Cody enjoyed
working and riding mopeds, playing X Box, and loved spending time with his
family.
He will be sadly missed by his Father - Robert Lee Mitchel,
Pennville, IN, Mother - Kimberly Sue (Adair) Mitchel, Pennville, IN, Sister
- Natasha Mitchel, Pennville, IN, Half-Brother - Jon Adair, Ohio, Maternal
Grandmother - Zola Watson, Hartford City, IN, Paternal Grandmother - Diana
Herring, New Haven, IN, Uncle - Dallas Adair, Pennville, IN, Aunts - Cristey
Adair, Portland, IN, Pam Vance, Pennville, IN, Darlene Ray, Pennville, IN,
and several Cousins.
He was preceded in death by his Maternal
Grandfather - Charles Lee Adair.
Family and friends may gather to
share and remember at Walker & Glancy Funeral Home 109 W Windsor St
Montpelier on Tuesday, January 07, 2020 from 11:00 AM to 2:00 PM.
A
service to celebrate Cody’s life will follow at Walker & Glancy Funeral Home
at 2:00 PM on Tuesday, January 07, 2020 with Pastor Gary Phillips
officiating. Interment will follow in the Stephenson Cemetery in Jay County.
Preferred memorials: To the Funeral Home to help the family during these
difficult times.
