Robert (Bob) E. Taylor passed away on Friday, December 28, 2018 at Bethel
Pointe Health Care in Muncie. Bob was born on November 4, 1937 in Muncie,
son of Mary Taylor Bedwell and stepson of Delmar (Dusty) Bedwell. He lived
his early life in the Pennville area. Bob graduated from Pennville High
School. He earned a BS degree in agriculture from Purdue University and a MA
degree in education from Ball State University. Bob taught for many years in
the Pennville and Jay County school systems. He had a heart for helping
students and a passion for coaching basketball. After retiring from
teaching, Bob worked many years at Central States. After retirement, he
managed the Hartford City Parks Department. He farmed the family farm in
Pennville until the 80s. He was a member of the Indiana State Teachers
Association and the Portland Elks. He was a man who truly loved people and
enjoyed spending time with his family.
He is survived by his former
wife of nearly 50 years, Susan (Bolling) Taylor, step-daughter, Jan (Chad)
Jones, daughter, Robyn Taylor, and sons, Robert J. Taylor and Ryan (Kristen)
Taylor.
Preceding him in death was his daughter, Kelly Ann.
Family and Friends may gather to share and remember at Walker & Glancy
Funeral Home 109 W. Windsor St. Montpelier, IN. on Saturday, January 5, 2019
from 2:00 PM to 4:00 PM. A service will follow at 4:30 PM with Rev. Lloyd
Hall officiating. Interment will be at the Twin Hill IOOF cemetery in
Pennville, IN.

honor to the Jay County Community Schools Foundation 107 S. Meridian St.
Portland, IN. 47371 or the Blackford County Community Schools Foundation 121
N. High St.Hartford City, IN. 47348.
