PFC Henry Albert Franks – Wells Cemetery, Jay County, Indiana
Private First Class Franks was a member of the 25th Reconnaissance Company,
25th Infantry Division. He was Killed in Action while fighting the enemy in
South Korea on July 28, 1950. Private First Class Franks was awarded the
Purple Heart, the Korean Service Medal, the United Nations Service Medal,
the National Defense Service Medal, the Korean Presidential Unit Citation
and the Republic of Korea War Service Medal.
