Funeral services for Miriam Slack, 78,
will be conducted Thursday afternoon at 1:30 o’clock at the Kit Church in
charge of Rev. C. N. Porter. Interment will be in Union Cemetery.
She
died at 1:30 o’clock Monday afternoon at her home eight miles northwest of
Portland in Jackson Township following a stroke.
Surviving are a
step-son, Harry Slack of Greene Township; one brother, Grant Forrest of
Syracuse, Ind., and one sister, Mrs. Anna Davis of Poling.
