A SAD LOSS OF LOCAL HISTORY
Having owned a historic home in Indianapolis I know the cost of upkeep on an old building. So the first thing I want to make clear is that not all old buildings can or should be saved. I do feel we build new ugly buildings and let the old ones fall down more often than I would prefer. This group of pictures show what has become of some of the old ones here in Jennings County. I do want to congratulate Mayor Campbell and North Vernon for saving and making good use of the old Carnegie Library in Downtown, it is now the City Hall!

Tops on my list is what once the beautiful Dodd Funeral Home in Paris Crossing.
